BGCC in association with EBRD, Seminar in London.

Current economic situation, political changes and business opportunities in Georgia will be on the agenda of the morning seminar called Georgia Update organized by the British-Georgian Chamber of Commerce (BGCC) in association with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to be held in London, on April 7. EBRD board room in London will host a wide range of businessmen and honorary guests to discuss the outcomes of snap presidential elections and provide informed businessmen and other interested people with comprehensive and updated data about Georgia.

This being BGCC’s first event in London after the New Year and the election, the BGCC Director Mako Abashidze said that it aimed to highlight the investment opportunities and inform participants about positive changes taking place in Georgia.

David Gvetadze, Managing Partner at PKF UBC Services, will take the floor to talk about what it takes to build a local company in Georgia as well as to review British-Georgian business opportunities, business climate in Georgia, introduce his company’s activities and to offer its support in founding, developing and further controlling British businesses in Georgia.

Himself a founding member of BGCC, Mr. Gvetadze said that this event was the first ever occasion to make specific steps to get together, to broaden relations and networking. “Such gatherings play a key role in starting and developing business relations, because they are simply a way to communicate with potential partners,” explained Mr. Gvetadze.

The seminar is supposed to host those who already have concluded relations with Georgia, those who observe Georgia as a potential market and scientists and journalists who inform larger society about ongoing developments. “We are planning to emphasize some positive sides and will try to meet everybody’s informational interest,” added Mr. Gvetadze.

Working in Georgia since 2000, PKF UBC Services initially supported PricewaterhouseCoopers’ activities in Georgia. However, since 2005 it has been independently working in the audit and business consulting sector, providing quality management advice, audit, tax, legal, accounting and property appraisal services to businesses and institutions within Georgia and linked to Georgia.

As Mr. Gvetadze said, every project implemented by his company had been made in compliance with the best practices paying particular attention to professional and business ethic that, in the words of Gvetadze, has become the cornerstone of the company’s success.
